The Antigua & Barbuda Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction is an affiliation of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. (COGIC), a Christian organization in the Holiness-Pentecostal tradition. It is the largest Pentecostal denomination in the United States where a church can be found in every state. The Church of God in Christ is a missions-minded organization with a worldwide impact committed to the great commission given by Christ to spread the Good News. It has churches in Europe, South America, Africa and Asia, spanning 87 countries, with over 12,000 congregations and more than 6.5 million members
The Antigua & Barbuda Jurisdiction is here to establish on the dual island nation a Church of God in Christ presence rich in history, passionate in our worship and effective in witnessing that is centered on purposeful kingdom building
WHAT WE DO
ECCLESIASTICAL ASSIGNMENT
Given that there is currently no Church of God in Christ presence in this progressively independent Commonwealth country, we have been given a great charge. To engraft Antigua and Barbuda into the rich history, distinguished organization, and spirit-filled worship experience, characterized by the Church of God in Christ, and birthed by the late Bishop Charles Harrison Mason in 1897.
We are excited to have the awesome responsibility of initiating and fostering a great seed-planting work through the Church of God in Christ on the twin islands of Antigua and Barbuda and becoming a vital and vibrant member of the Antigua and Barbuda ecumenical family through the preaching of the Good News of Jesus Christ.
EVANGELISTIC COMMISSION
The Church of God in Christ endeavors to effectuate the Great Commission – to go and teach all nations. Antigua and Barbuda has been chosen to be the next fertile ground for effective witnessing for Jesus Christ. The Antigua and Barbuda Church of God in Christ is honored to be an active and strategic force in evangelizing this West Indies territory.
MISSION OF MISSIONS
Last, but not least, Antigua and Barbuda Church of God in Christ extends open arms to those who serve on the mission field around the world. We offer ministry-establishing and ministry-expanding opportunity to missionaries as they satisfy their calling to serve God, as well as join us in the upbuilding of His kingdom, thus taking advantage of another vineyard in which to serve. To have a great commission you must first have a mission. For this cause, we embrace the Mission of Missions.
